Our Mission

Dominion Hospitality Group (“DHG”) was formed in 2018 as a subsidiary of Dominion Diversified Real Estate Group to take advantage of value-add buying opportunities in the hospitality sector over the next 3-5 years. The Officers of Dominion Diversified Real Estate Group have over 30 years of investment experience and have brought together a team of experts in the hospitality industry to self-manage all future acquired properties. The DHG Principals have extensive experience in all facets of hotel operations having worked for large hotel management firms and have managed major hotel flags such as Hilton, Marriot, Best Western, Sheraton, IHG, Choice, Wyndham and many others.  The Principals from Dominion are all seasoned real estate professionals and will focus on deal sourcing and structuring, underwriting, and securing equity and debt for DHG. Combined, they have directly owned, developed, sold, leased and managed over 6,000,000 square feet of real estate with values well in excess of $200,000,000. In addition to hospitality experience, the Principals have experience across a broad spectrum of real estate including apartment development, office, retail, industrial, medical office, and residential land development. DHG currently owns the Holiday Inn Express Charlotte West Gastonia, and Comfort Inn Monticello, has completed a case study of the Comfort Inn & Suites Savannah North, and has developed Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham South Hill in South Hill, Virginia. DHG has brought the Best Western Plus Victor Inn & Suites in Victor, NY, and the Comfort Inn University in Amherst, NY under their management umbrella as well as several others in our pipeline. The hotels in the DHG portfolio saw an increase in Room Revenue at an average of 30% in 2022 and continue to grow the success of the assets in 2023. The DHG portfolio has grown to 700 rooms in limited-service properties and continues to expand. DHG’s Principals are actively seeking niche opportunities to acquire, develop, manage, and purchase additional assets.

The Principals of DHG will analyze your asset through the eyes of owners with over 60 years of combined experience in facilitating transactions in excess of $100,000,000 in value. As Hotel owners ourselves, we know how to facilitate and navigate all facets of selling your asset to the most qualified buyers. We try to minimize time wasted and interruptions to your operations during the marketing process by setting realistic market expectations upfront and managing the buying process in its entirety. We will also assist the prequalified contract purchaser with financing if warranted whether it be with conventional Banks, Life Companies, CMBS lenders or seller financing on a primary or secondary basis.
